Flaxseed has always been a wellness favorite. But did you know it can benefit your hair? Integrating flaxseed gel, often called linseed gel, into your hair care regimen can help prevent split ends, control graying, strengthen hair follicles, and reduce dandruff.
Ready to try flaxseed for hair growth? Gift your tresses the goodness of Vitamin E and Omega-3s by using our medium-hold flaxseed gel with Aloe Vera. Made for all hair types, this gel gently moisturizes and nourishes your curls: all while allowing proper hold. Plus, aloe boosts your hair’s strength, shine, and moisture. It’s a classic combo!
Our natural, plant-based pure flaxseed gel is available in unscented and scented options (containing lavender or sweet orange essential oils). What’s more, it’s completely free from harsh chemicals, toxins, and parabens.

Q & A
Thank you for asking!! All of A Simple Planet's products are made from plant-based materials which means that the consistency can vary from batch to batch. In order to keep the carbon footprint low for each product, we consciously limit the ingredients in the formulas. We have found that while the consistency does change for the FLaxseed Hair Gel, the quality and effectiveness do not. You can read more about it in our FAQs and blog.
Nope and we never will.
While Flaxseed hair gel itself is not (yet) certified organic, it is made up of 91.5% certified organic ingredinets.
We purposefully do not add a thickener to our handmade products to reduce the carbon footprint. As you noticed this means some of the products are more watery than more commercial equivalents though it doesn’t change the effectiveness of the products! We choose to limit the ingredients, but never at the risk of being effective. You will find that all of A Simple Planet products work as well or better than their commercial counterparts with much longer and more difficult to pronounce ingredient lists.

Thank you for asking. THe Flaxseed Hair Gel is too thick to be used with a spray bottle. The Light Hold Hair Gel, which is also Flax based can be used with a Trigger sprayer. Hope that helps with deciding! April
