People-Friendly Products: Clean Beauty

Clean, non-toxic ingredients are especially important in products we use every day. The basic definition of a clean product is one that does not contain ingredients defined as toxic.
The beauty industry can be a scary place. There are currently no regulations covering which ingredients can be added to beauty products, including toxic chemicals. Until recently, manufacturers prioritized effectiveness over health and safety. The only legal requirements have to do with labelling, use, and color additives. The actual ingredients are not regulated, and there is no legal obligation for a manufacturer to disclose whether an ingredient is known to harm people or the planet.
Clean beauty manufacturing uses only ingredients determined not to be harmful. Simple, effective ingredients are the basis for all of our formulations. For example, we preserve Clean Shampoo and Clean Conditioner without chemical preservatives, using a technique that dates back thousands of years: fermentation. With a combination of probiotics, just like the ones in yogurt, both stay shelf stable for up to a year with no chemicals.
We also guarantee that all of our products are free from several controversial toxic ingredients, including parabens, phthalates, sulfates, silicones, color additives, and synthetic fragrances. It is possible to find good, effective products that keep both you and the earth healthy. That is our mission.
