This is such a rad ingredient! Sclerotium gum is a polysaccharide gum (basically a sticky sugar) that is naturally derived from fermented fungus.

I really love this product. I have very curly hair and it has good hold. I've used it for years now and it's always good and does not flake and it is not stiff.

I love this hair gel! It can be lighter and very soft if you use a little bit, and it can be firm and more stiff if you use more. I have extremely bad frizz/flyaways. If you brush out your hair after it dries, it is soft and smooth with no flyaways. There's never any stickiness or residue in the hair. I've used it on wet or dry hair with good results either way, but wet is best for taming flyaways. I have super sensitive skin and this doesn't make me break out!

    It’s pretty expensive when you include $10 for shipping to include a return envelope (which I accidentally threw away). I won’t need more gel for close to 2 years at which point who knows if SP will still be in business. Plus, the emissions from shipping an empty container back are likely equal to the plastic savings, if not more. Sort of greenwashing, but I do like the product.
